Long distance: Streekpad Noardlike Fryske Walden

Among the most beautiful long-distance hiking trails in the Netherlands is the 160-kilometer Streekpad through the stunning National Landscape Noardlike Fryske Wâlden. If you're looking for more than just a stroll, this trail is highly recommended. Thanks to the farmers' care for the natural landscape, you'll hike through a backdrop of hedgerows, cows, and an enormous variety of birds, along sandy paths, fields, and through picturesque villages. Thanks to the land consolidation of the outer areas, you can enjoy every step. In the guide book, you'll also find circular routes of about 15 kilometers.

Long distance: Bonifatius Kloosterpad

The pilgrimage from Schiermonnikoog to Wolvega is a considerable distance, but of course, you decide how far you walk. With its rich monastic history, you'll be on your own personal pilgrimage.
